The Viking Age (793–1066 AD) was the period during the Middle Ages when the Norse people from Denmark, Norway and Sweden known as Vikings colonized British Isles, Ireland, Iceland, Greenland, the Baltic coast, and along the Dnieper and Volga trade routes in eastern Europe. War was the most prestigious activity in the Viking Age Scandinavia. Rusborg is one of the biggest historical festivals of Vikings and Slavs in Europe (located in Lipetsk region, Russia).
